Does the old streaming, e.g. that StreamBaby does (which I use through the Mac version of pyTivo, which has StreamBaby built in) have a maximum buffer size ON THE TIVO END?
Basically, if I try streaming a show, I seem to get around 45-ish minutes and then it stops streaming. This is for an SD show. It SLIGHTLY varies, but SD recordings are usually around the same size, so that seems to show to me there's a buffer limit.
I can then FF past the 'end' which causes it to rebuffer, then start from there.. but I was just wondering why this happens.
(I sometimes am using streaming when skimming through some old talk show recordings -- we used to no be able to transfer 'from pause point', so to save just the musical guest, I'd transfer the whole show.. Even though I most likely watched the rest in the past, I still want to skim through them -- and not too amazingly, streaming them back to the Tivo and skimming there is actually more convenient, ESP since the Premiere streams a LOT faster than the TivoHD does.)
