Hi,
Maybe this isn't possible. What I'd like is to create a virtual share based on a custom tag that looks like this in the metadata file for applicable videos:
SummerOfDarkness_2015: 073
where the value (in this example 073) is the video airing sequence, ranging from 1 to about 120.
I created the virtual share entry:
[Browse Summer of Darkness 2015]
tags=SummerOfDarkness_2015
display=SummerOfDarkness_2015 file callsign
ignorearticle=True
tagorder=up
shares=Videos
Which results in a virtual share in vidmgr:
[Browse by Summer of Darkness 2015]
But when I click into that entry, I see a separate folder for each sequence number (let's call them sequence folders), ordered alphabetically. I'm using leading zeros to get around the apparent forced alpha sort. Then I click on a sequence folder and finally see the single title entry in it (though not quite the way I wanted: expecting to see sequence number file callsign, instead see only file).
What I'd like is when I click on 'Browse by Summer of Darkness 2015' I get a list of videos with a separate line for each consisting of sequence number, file name and callsign, ordered by sequence number. No sequence folders at all.
I'm beginning to think I have to have sequence folders just because that's the way vidmgr works. True?
Thanks,
Mark M
