We had an old Tivo HD that I had to revive a few years ago, but we moved on from it. After reviving it, though, I transferred dozens of programs off using Tivo Desktop and edited some with VideoRedo.
Well, I pulled out the old hard drive that these were all on and hooked it up to my laptop in hopes of viewing one of these old transfered .tivo files. Turns out, the laptop's version of Tivo Desktop lost the MAK (as it was now asking me to enter it). The MAK was in there two months ago but now is gone. Not sure how that happened.
Anyways, trying to make this a shorter story: I found an old laptop that has the old MAK on it (TIVO Desktop will play the files).
Is there any way I can actually find the MAK that is stored on this laptop so that I can write it down so I never lose it again?
