Hello, my wife uses pyTiVo pretty heavily, and it often freezes in the middle of transfers. I'm told that I could decrease that problem by installing a wired ethernet network but for now, her 4 TiVos are hooked up as follows:
family room: MOCA
kitchen: wireless adapter
extra bedroom: one TiVo is hooked up with wired ethernet, the other TiVo is currently broken, but if I could fix it, I'd hook also it up with wired ethernet.
I think lately the one with the wireless adapter is the one that freezes the most. (But I've seen the MOCA one do it do, albeit less often.)
My solution to this is to restart pyTiVo on my XP computer, which just takes a minute to do and is easy. But my wife's complaint is that that halts all transfers. Plus, she has to requeue everything after the restart. She often is transferring shows from multiple TiVos at the same time, and she'd like it if I could somehow get the frozen one moving again without disturbing the TiVos that are merrily transferring without problems.
Is she SOL or is there actually some way of doing this?
