If I buy $25 desktop plus, will I be able to convert my Tivo mpeg2 video's into a smaller format for my 10 inch tegra 3 Asus 720p tablet? I don't want to reduce the resolution below 720p but the downsides to tivo mpeg2 format as I understand is it takes up allot more space than a equal quality HD h264 video. The other problem with mpeg2 on my asus android tablet is it plays a little jerky and doesn't support hardware acceleration. I have a videoredo plus software that I use to strip commercials from the tivo file and convert into mpeg2. Is there a H264 video redo upgrade that will convert mpeg 2 files into more tablet friendly HD format? Someone else suggested I use handbrake software to convert my mpeg2's into h264. Is this best option? Is it free?
